On January 28, the final of the X Championship of Spanish ham cutters took place in Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz).

This annual competition is organized by the National Association of Ham Slicers (ANCJ).

The 8 finalists were:

*Aníbal Falcón Morales, from Arucas (Gran Canarias)

*Juan José Masa Corrales, from Cáceres and lives in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz)

*Antonio Escribano Capitán, from Villanueva de Córdoba (Córdoba).

*Abraham Cambres Salinas, born in Murcia and lives in Alcantarilla (Murcia)

*Cristo Muñoz Montes, from Martín de la Jara (Seville).

*Antonio González Cárdeno, from Cumbres Mayores (Huelva).

*Juan Antonio Pérez Moro, from San Bartolomé de la Torre (Huelva).

*Eduardo Barrero, from Cáceres

These finalists have impressive resumes. They have won many prizes and after many years of practice, hard work and participation in many competitions, they have qualified for this X Championship.

After an exciting competition, these are the 3 winners:

 Third: Anibal Falcon

Second: Antonio Cardeno.

First: Champion of Spain of Cortadores and new Maestro Cortador: Juan José Masa

I have a lot of respect for all 8 colleagues for reaching this final. And I am proud that 2 finalists are colleagues and members of the Association of Cortadores of Huelva, of which I am a member myself.
